If it wasnt Jesus who died on the cross 2000+ years ago, if it wasnt of his love and care for the world, we woulnt be here right now doing what we love to do. Jesus, not only died for the people at his time, but died FOR ALL BELIEVERS OF JESUS CHRIST, yes, he died for us before we were born. He suffered all the torture and died on the cross for us people who are not born yet, that shows how Mighty our God can be and how much love and care us! He suffered the tortures and received all the mockings from the people and died on the cross so that WE CAN BE SAVED, THROUGH HIM, THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS , HE IS INDEED THE AUTHOR OF SALVATION AND THE ANCHOR OF OUR SOUL (: !

So let's continue to serve God wholeheartedly, go the the highways and bring people into His Kingdom! We shall at under any situations and circumstances priase His Name, and worship and adore Him! For we know that how sacrificial Our God is! Hallelujah! :D

I think that its so true that everyday you’re living, God is always where for you. Like in exam period, right before my paper, I will quietly pray to God. It gives me a sense of calm in my heart and I tend to feel more secure because I know God around me (: !

Let God take over your life, instead of you leading your own life as the only thing that could ever fill any cracks and holes in your life without looking at your "bad sides" is only the Holy Spirit. Follow God’s word, and he will teach and show you how to live and pray and that every word that comes out of your mouth be wise and will please that Lord !

I randomly came by this song and thought, "At times, we can take a long long time till we realize or even understand certain things. At times certain words in a worship songs can speak of different stages of your life too. It speaks the same for the word of God."

There is this part of the song that magnified strongly, "EVERY THING I'VE BEEN THROUGH USE IT FOR YOUR GLORY"

It doesn't matter how bad things have been for us in the past. Certainly there will be regrets for certain things that had happened. We don't need to care ahout how it will be shared or how much shame will be disclosed. But, my very prayer for everyone here today is that, "Everything that we have been through He will use it for His greatest glory". Pastor preached before that God doesn't allow bad things ot happen to us without His permission! And just last weekend, Pastor Paul preached that "Every journey is made of stages, every stages have a lesson!" So what is your lesson today and what can God use you for in the future? :)

May you guys be fearless and allow Him to use you for His greatest glory! Let the devil have no chance to cling hold of your life! The devil shall tremble at the sound of His voice and the power of our prayers.

Jesus loves you guys, and so do I.

tried but messed up

Six-year-old Brandon decided one Saturday morning to fix his parents pancakes. He found a big bowl and spoon, pulled a chair to the counter, opened the cupboard and pulled out the heavy flour canister, spilling it on the floor. He scooped some of the flour into the bowl with his hands, mixed in most of a cup of milk and added some sugar, leaving a floury trail on the floor which by now had a few tracks left by his kitten. Brandon was covered with flour and getting frustrated. He wanted this to be something very good for Mom and Dad, but it was getting very bad. He didn't know what to do next, whether to put it all into the oven or on the stove (and he didn't know how the stove worked!).

Suddenly, he saw his kitten licking from the bowl of mix and reached to push her away, knocking the egg carton to the floor. Frantically he tried to clean up this monumental mess but slipped on the eggs, getting his pyjamas white and sticky.

And just then, he saw Dad standing at the door...

Big tears welled up in Brandon's eyes. All he had wanted to do was something good, but he'd made a terrible mess. He was sure a scolding was coming, maybe even a spanking. But his father just watched him. Then, walking through the mess, he picked up his crying son, hugged him and loved him, getting his own pyjamas white and sticky in the process.

Despite our best efforts, you and I end up making a "mess" of our lives!

All of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rms 3:23). It seems that as we try to clean up one mess, we cause another. We end up being frustrated and burdened by guilt. When we realise that our Heavenly Father sees the mess that we have made, we are even more concerned about our awful predicament. Sometimes we just stand there in tears because we can't think of anything else to do.

However, the Heavenly Father longs to hold us, to forgive us and even to clean up our mess for us.

In fact, it was because of our mess that His Son died on the cross. (1 Pet 2:24)

Our Father wants us to continue "making pancakes" (do good works) for Him with our lives (Eph 2:10).

And as long as we do our best to do His will, He will continue to "clean up the messes" that we make (1 Jn 1:7).

I came across this story when i was reading my ex-form teacher's blog, i find it interesting so i want to share you with guys. This story may sounds simple, but i think it tells us something that is very true, that God will continue to love us even if we did something wrong, something sinful, because God, will always love us no matter what we do (:

Hi guys!

Your cgl here, blogging from Changi Airport's boarding area!!! Just want you guys to know that I'd really miss you all. As much as I'm looking forward to the trip, I'm looking forward to coming home too. How weird right! And I havent even board the plane yet!

In any case, service today was simply wonderful. Can't tell u just how fulfilling it is to know that we're one major step closer to getting our new building. That's not the only part that touched my heart today though. While pastor was sharing about janelle, tyler & the haiti earthquake, I realised one thing.

The best thing about coming to church & being a christian for me is not just the friendship, the breakthroughs and its not even about becoming a cgl. The best thing is learning Compassion. If it wasn't for God, I think I'd probably turn into a very selfish person & live a very crazy life.

Hope that this year, we'll not just grow in size as a cg but grow in heart. Lets aim to expand not just in goals this year but in heart too. :)

Great message preached by Pastor Kong yesterday! For those who weren't falling asleep due to the previous day overnight prayer meeting, for you to be a high class professional in whatever you wanna be, you gotta work hard to the extent of 4 hours/day, 5 days/week for 10 YEARS!

So yeah, for those whose aiming to be a professional, all the best to ya! ;)

& our brothers can really get carried away when it comes to sleeping.

How to build up your Core Strengh ?

- DAILY dedicate yourself to the Lord

- DAILY choose to live by the will of God and not by your emotions

- DAILY medidate on God's will and God's word in your life

- DAILY pray with the spirit

Yesterday the Word was on True worshipper! At the begining, many thought that this message was repeated from cellgroup meeting lol, it is not! Pastor Tan not so blur la. Just less than a year ago, I never thought that one day I would be able to or have the chance to lead my own CG. Needless to say, to lead such a group of wonderful people like u guys! Just want you to know I'm very proud of all of you and thankful that you've chose to stay on and stick with the CG through challenging times. As well as learning how to care for and watch over each other along the way.. :)

As we go through the next 30days of fasting, lets continue to breakthrough and shower each other in prayers ya! So even though we all might have tight schedules, exams etc. Lets remember to keep our walk with God & spiritual family strong! Remember the goal for the next 6 months is COMPASSION!

Our wonderful Jun Liang has a testimony to share!

Jun Liang shares: "I am very happy and shock that my father cooked 'mee sua' and when i saw it, i am crying and when i see the pot. It like 8 bowls of mee sua, i failed to understand my father and mother's love but now i can finally feel it.. All thanks to God for giving me a great time today on my 1st birthday in 17 years..."

And also, i (Kai Xin) have a testimony to share too!

Kai Xin shares: "I wanna thank God for knowledge. I always always flung my mathematics and humanities. But for the past 2 months or so, i've been passing all my tests. And for CA2 component 1, i got 9/10 subjects pass. Only left with Mother Tongue which i had no idea why i flung. And also wanna thank God for speedy recovery. Some of you might know, i was sick on Friday and Saturday. Was vomiting and running a fever and somehow didn't went to see the doctor but thank God that i recovered by Sunday morning!"

A willing heart!

Hey W514! I am sure everyone of us enjoyed what Pastor Kong preached yesterday! I am truly blessed! Well, when Pastor Kong was sharing his message, I could really feel the burden of his heart that he is carrying. He truly hopes to see OUR generation rising up, taking ownership of the church and do even greater things for God! Even though we are young, but God can use us to do great things. A very good example, in Heart of God church their zone supervisor is only as young as the age of 17. If God can use him, God can also use us to do great works ya? (:

Never despise small beginnings! Whatever you are serving God with now, be faithful in it! Because the bible says, be faithful in the little things and I will make you a ruler of many things. So W514, lets rise up to a whole new level in our commitment with God. Never say you are too busy to serve, but lets be ready to serve! When you sow in the kingdom of God, God will multiply it! All it takes is a willing heart, just like what Pastor have said yesterday even though you have the best equipment, the best praise and worship leader but yet without a heart of wanting more of God nothing is going to change. We are just worshipping God with the best equipments that we have. God is not searching for a perfect person but He is searching for a person with a willing heart to say "God I am willing to serve you in MY generation. No matter how hard it is I will obey your word."

Let's us rise up and take ownership of OUR generation, W514 will be a cell group that will serve OUR generation and do even greater works that what the current generation is doing now! Hope that you guys are blessed!

During Cgm, the cellgroup occupation is out. So Anyone not sure, can go check with our boss, Jodie(That lady in red if you don't know).
So people, lets be faithful in our occupation. It might be the little things. It might be the things that you are not good at. But just do your best.
E.g.
Like what im doing now, Jodie says must update at least twice a week. So this is my first post of the week, and if i didin't post another post this week, im not doing my task well.
Everyone is important! Lets us help each one another.

Albert Einstein Was A Freak?

"3. Albert Einstein’s age, when he still wasn’t talking.

Even when he finally did, he uttered his words twice. When he started school, he still had speech difficulty until the age of nine.

Born in a German city called Ulm, his mother believed Einstein was a freak because his head seemed to be too big for his body.

Her worry had some basis because Einstein actually suffered from a medical condition called “Benign Macrocephaly”, a disorder that could lead to mental retardation.

One of the most recognized and well-known scientists of the century, he was awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on photoelectric effect titled: “On a Heuristic Viewpoint Concerning the Production and Transformation of Light”.

Upon his death, his brain was preserved and studied.

A 1999 study done by Mcmaster University found that his brain did not have it’s parietal operculum region, a part of the brain needed for speech, reading or writing.

To compensate for that, his brain adapted by enlarging his parietal lobe by 15% wider. This part of the brain is responsible in giving him superior mathematical thought, visuospatial cognition, and imagery of movement.

The study also found that Einstein’s brain had 73% more glial cells ( special cells that provide support and nutrition to the brain) than normal brains."

ECP OUTING TO CELEBRATE LEE JIE's BIRTHDAY!!

Hi james here! To do CPR on this semi dead, but NOT DEAD YET blog =P. So here are some pictures from the East Coast Park outing/Birthday celebration for Lee Jie.The cycling was intense,not so much so interms of stamina but interms of all the sunburns we got after that . But nevertheless it was an exhilerating experience cycling with W514.The coolest part was when we cycled to the middle of nowhere to celebrate Lee Jie's birthday. I think we were done with cycling at 5:30pm? We then fellowshipped and that was pretty much how the outing went. Cycling is an activity that you cant really comment much about =P you've gotta be there to soak in the fun. So till next time, if any of you are interested just let our members know and you're free to join us =D

Anyway, it was really sad upon hearing about Jodie's Granny news. So, let's pray god that Jodie's Granny could get well soon! And at the same time, Jodie! Please cheer up, everybody is here for you =D
